Nox, what do you say for those who are actively applying for these roles and positions. As someone like myself who solely has certs & work experience, how should we(the people) approach these applications that favor someone with a degree? I've been told over and over from work colleagues that a recruiter is going to weigh the degree higher than someone with certifications. my second question is. is that true; that degrees outweigh the certs? (sorry for the poor wording)

Many firms requires an experience level for more than 'x' years to get an interview in cybersec JD, and as a fresher i don't have any experience on actual machines, the only i have till now is from CTF's (which i dont think they count) and vulnerable machines on THM. In these situations should people like me head towards trying bug bounties which i think is completely different or take anathor role and try to pivot through to the get desired one?
